THE CUSTOMER‘S REQUESTS

Usually the first contact with a new customer is by telephone. After that, we ask you to send an email so a Tràfilo consultant will contact you to understand your needs whether we can help. If necessary a personal meeting is arranged.

Starting from a drawing, a sample or a specific need, we define the initial concept and carry out an initial technical evaluation. When the request have been defined, we determine whether the product exists as part of our standard range and if not, we enter in the co-design phase.
Tràfilo’s technical office sets up a pre-project review phase with the customer, to verify that all their requests have been fully understood. Then we proceed with the actual design.

THE CO-DESIGN PROCESS

During the co-design phase our technical departments work closely together, to evaluate and share possible improvements to the initial design. Where necessary, targeted laboratory tests are carried out.
This first draft is used to identify the best solution for the intended use of the product. Our experienced designers, using advanced CAD/CAM technology, then refine it.

In the second meeting with the customer, we present the finished design and we decide on the suitable materials, taking into account its intended use and any particular industral standards applicable.

It is then time to verify all the factors required for production:
– in-depth sectional analysis,
– properties of the raw material and compatibility analysis of the different materials, to determine which production technology to use.
– determine suitable packaging to preserve the quality of the product.

For each of our product, we create this vertical chain and we submit it to our partners to be approved.
The co-design process is modified as necessary to fit in with your requests.

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS AND ESTIMATE

Manufacturing costs are assessed to design a customised pricing model based on consumption, packaging and transport.

Following the approval of the quotation, we start the design and the production of the equipment to use during the production phase.

An initial sample is produced and sent to the customer for final approval.
If required, a pre-production batch is made to enable the customer to verify the productive process.

Thanks to the vertical skills of our foremen, we guarantee a high standard with frequent and stringent quality control.
The production manager continuously verifies that the product adheres to tolerances. Where possible, the profile is tested in actual use.
